JCP&L Proposed Transmission Line UPDATE

The Hazlet Township Committee will be holding a special meeting on Monday, June 20th at 7:00 PM to discuss the JCP&L project and may take formal action.
 
The Township is also working on additional meeting schedules within the near future and will further advise once confirmed.

JCP&L Proposed Transmission Line

The Hazlet Township Committee has received many emails, telephone calls and messages from our residents regarding the proposed transmission line on the New Jersey Transit corridor and we thank you for your input.
 
The Township Committee is also very concerned and understands your valid points and concerns completely; our families and friends are also affected by this project. 
 
To date, we’ve had several formal discussions with JCP&L Representatives and Committee meetings on the subject matter. We are currently reviewing the scope of the project and seeking additional information.  As soon as we have completed our review and come to a consensus, the Township Committee will make a public announcement on this project in the very near future, probably at our next committee meeting or sooner.

Recyclable Electronics

Effective Immediately: Recyclable electronics such as TV’s, Computers etc. will no longer be accepted at the Hazlet Township recycling yard. All electronic type receptacles can be brought to the COUNTY RECLAMATION CENTER - (Gate A) 6000 Asbury Ave., Tinton Falls Monday - Friday 7:30 am - 3:00 pm Saturday 7:30 am - 2:00 pm.
 
We apologize for the short notice and any inconvenience this may cause. This discontinuance of service is due to the lack of continued program support from the County and State. In the event program support is restored, the Township will reinstitute this extended service at our facility.

April Sewer Bill Delay

Hazlet Township is in the process of converting our Sewer Utility billing to a new system.  There will be a delay in the April 1 sewer bills being issued. There will be no late fees or other penalties charged to any resident or business as a result of the held back bill this cycle. We appreciate your patience during the conversion.
