Public Record Information Under OPRA, a public record is any paper, written or printed book, document, drawing, map, plan, photograph, microfilm, data processed or image processed document, information stored or maintained electronically or by sound-recording or in a similar device, or any copy thereof, that has been made, maintained or kept on file . . . or that has been received in the course of his or its official business. Exceptions Our office may be restricted by fulfilling an OPRA request:
If the record does not exist and one must be created to respond to the request
Information that could jeopardize computer security
Personal identifying information. Specifically, Social security numbers, credit card numbers, unlisted phone numbers and drivers license numbers.
