Development plans for Middle Rd & Laurel Ave.
Hazlet Township residents are advised that a public hearing will be held Tuesday in Holmdel about an affordable housing spending plan and zoning ordinance for a proposed development on the border of Hazlet, at Middle Road and Laurel Ave.
The project envisions 50 all-affordable units in high density, multi-level buildings at the unimproved site. Hazlet has concerns about zoning requirements, including height restrictions, building setbacks, traffic circulation, environmental protection and the project’s effect on residential housing values.
The public hearing begins July 28 at 7:30 p.m. The meeting will be held virtually via Zoom web conferencing. Instructions are below and posted on the Holmdel Township website. The Township Committee’s meeting agenda is posted.
