Typically around this time, Hazlet Township advertises a free rabies clinic in partnership with the Monmouth County Health Dept. to help pet owners comply with proper licensing procedures.. But with the current health precautions for COVID-19, the county has not yet announced its plans for a free rabies clinic this fall.
In June, the county held a free rabies clinic at the Monmouth County SPCA in Eatontown by appointment only, at curbside with minimal contact. We are hopeful a similar event will be scheduled soon.
In the meantime, if you wish to get your pet inoculated, you can call the Monmouth County SPCA’s Vogel Veterinary Care Center to make an appointment at 732-542-3125. It is $50 for an office visit and $30 for the vaccine.
Hazlet Township will share any news of a free rabies clinic when it is scheduled.
