Hazlet Township is hosting two drive-in movies on Saturday nights in October at the Hazlet United Soccer Association's parking lot, at the end of Green Acres Drive.
On October 17, it will be "Karate Kid." And on October 24, it will be a Halloween-themed double feature: "Scooby Doo in Where's My Mummy" and "Beetlejuice." All films are rated PG.
The entrance opens at 5:30 pm and the movie starts around 6:30 p.m. You can purchase snacks and drinks at the concession stand..
Admission to the movies are free, but registration is required for parking management. Each driver must complete and print out a simple form to show volunteer parking attendants at the entrance. Every moviegoer must arrive in a vehicle.
The sound will be broadcast on your radio and the movie will be shown on a giant screen so that everyone can see from the comfort of their vehicles.
In accordance with current public health precautions, everyone is asked to stay in their vehicles unless visiting the restroom or the concession stand, when they should wear a facial mask.
