[ARCHIVED] April 3: Letter from Mayor Mike Glackin

HazletTwp-Seal

Restricted access to township facilities will continue to April 30.

Dear Hazlet residents,

As we come to the end of another week in our new reality, I wanted to take the opportunity to thank all those who serve on the front line as we wage war on COVID-19. From health care professionals and first responders, to essential employees and public workers who continue to carry the weight of keeping our community moving forward as we battle the spread of this virus. Do not put these men and women in unnecessary danger. If you do not need to go out, stay home. Do your part so we can “flatten the curve” and defeat the enemy.

Hazlet Township will continue restricting public access to township facilities through April 30. This includes playground equipment, though the parks are open for passive enjoyment. Visitors must adhere to social distancing guidelines by remaining at least six feet away from other visitors.

The Township Committee continues to be in contact with county, state and federal officials as we share information and make are needs and concerns known. Our federal representatives continue to share information and benefits of the federal spending program known as the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and. Economic Security Act, or CARES Act. Please read an update to the Paycheck Protection Program information posted from earlier this week.

Please be safe and obey social distancing and please feel free to contact me if you have any questions

Thank you,

Mike Glackin

Mayor
