The Hazlet United Soccer Association complex at Green Acres Drive has been improved with new fencing, thanks to an allocation from the municipal Open Space Fund. The new fending replaces aged and broken fencing that separates the playing fields from the road and parking lots. On Saturday, August 14, the club's board invited Township Committee to see the new post and rail wooden fencing.
The club also celebrated the installation of a brand new asphalt roof over its existing restroom and concession stand building. The new roof will last 50 years. It was graciously donated and installed by Grapevine Pro of Matawan, which received gratitude from the club members and officials on Saturday.
